Facilitator:
Phil Jackson
Email
Phil Jackoson
MRN
has an experienced and knowledgable European Area Facilitator in
Phil Jackson. Phil has assembled an
European Advisory Panel composed of some of the most
respected missionaries and European church leaders.
Europe has been host to numerous political, economic and
social ideologies that have shaped and reshaped the continent over the
centuries. These ever-changing tides
have made it difficult to satisfactorily describe the moving target we know as
Europe. Borders have fluctuated,
political and economic realities are evolving.
Despite Europe’s kaleidoscopic changes, there are two
realities we, as servants of God, must not ignore. First, there is a new yearning for spiritual matters, especially
among Europe’s young adults—a hunger placed there by the Lord. Second, Europe’s cities have become huge
global villages, drawing people from all over the planet. These
dynamic and culturally diverse cities offer global opportunities.
Missions Resource Network is responding to the spiritual opportunities provided by
Europe’s cities. We are prayerfully and
collaboratively developing church planting strategies that we believe are
within the will of God.
And we are compiling and articulating the collective wisdom
of the community of Christian workers in the region.
Objectives
include:
- Networking with
churches, ministries and people of peace in Europe
- Engaging relevant
relationally-based strategies for the European context
- Targeting
strategic European urban centers
- Facilitating
covenant-oriented mission team development
- Providing
emotional and mental health resources to missionaries and their families
- Helping churches
as they steward God’s mission to redeem the lost of Europe.
An international panel of experienced Christian
workers in Europe and the U.S. represent the collaboration and collective
wisdom of those who are dedicated to strategic church planting in Europe. The European Advisory Panel members are:
