FAQS

What do you do exactly?

That’s a great question! We know that reaching a broken world with the hope of Jesus is overwhelming and can’t be done alone. At MRN, we guide you through a process to clarify your mission and transform lives. We know how overwhelming missions can be. Thoughts and questions, such as—“How do I get started?”; “I don’t want to waste my talent and treasure.”; “I want to be a part of something bigger than me”; “How do I make sure I’m successful?”; “I’m afraid I’ll end up doing this alone.” —typically start scrolling through your mind the moment you feel called.

That’s where we enter the picture. By partnering with us, you will receive:

  • Missions expertise

  • A personalized plan

  • First-rate training

  • A tight-knit community

  • Ongoing coaching

How is MRN funded?

We are a nonprofit organization and fully funded by partnerships with churches and by generous donations from foundations and individuals who want to see the world come to know Jesus. Your gifts help make a global impact for the Kingdom.

What kind of churches do you work with?

We work with followers of Jesus of diverse backgrounds who share our values and feel called by God to make disciples around the world.

How many people work at MRN?

We have 12 people on staff.

What countries do you work in?

Right now, we are currently working in North Africa, Greece, Southeast Asia, South Africa, Singapore, New Zealand, and India. We have also worked in Australia, Rwanda, and Cambodia.

Are you connected to any other ministries?

MRN is its own entity, but we proudly partner with many other churches and ministries. It’s what makes us a valuable asset to the churches and missionaries we work with. Through our vast connections, we are able to provide the best possible coaching and training. We believe in approaching missions as a united pursuit. We are better when working together with others.

Are you a Church of Christ ministry?

We were founded by representatives of the Churches of Christ in 1998.

Do you only work with churches in Texas?

No. We currently work with churches in Texas, Tennessee, Oklahoma, Arkansas, Georgia, Louisiana and Alabama and are always looking to expand to other states and countries. Feel free to contact us to learn more.

Are you a sending agency?

No. We are what you would call the middle man. We believe the local church is called to send missionaries (see Acts 13). We come alongside the local church (i.e. sending agency) to provide expertise and training so that missionaries are well-prepared for the field. If prospective missionaries come to us for training, we help connect them with a local church home so that they can be supported by both their church and us. Again, back to the better together mentality.

What do your services cost?

That’s a bit of a tricky question. It depends on what you’re looking for. If you are a domestic or international leader in your church, we provide coaching for $100/hour or church labs ranging from $750–$1250.

If you’re a prospective missionary, we provide an entry point training process (IMPRINT) that costs $125 and a more in-depth assessment that ranges from $2200–$3800 depending on if you’re an individual or family unit.

The first step is scheduling an appointment with one of our team members.

Our church supports a missionary who needs emotional / spiritual / physical support. Can you help?

We offer Missionary Care Workshops to help churches better care for their missionaries on the field. However, when a crisis arises, we can help connect you with a professional counselor.

Can you help missionaries raise their support?

Part of our training process involves providing tips on how to fundraise.

Do you know if there is a church or a missionary in (fill in the blank of international location of your choice)?

Maybe. We have a vast community of contacts. We will do our best to get you connected to the right person or church.
