Day 9
When I was a young ministry student at Abilene Christian University (a period of my life increasingly distant in the rear-view mirror), I remember hearing stories about a team of workers serving in the Buddhist world in Thailand. Some of those families are still on the field 25 years later!
One does not last that long on the field without a reliance on scripture and prayer. John and Randall have each given us a scripture to pray over their Thai friends. Let’s honor that today.
John has asked that we pray Matthew 9:36-38 over him and his ministry (a scripture we prayed together just a few days ago). Pray for the workers to have compassion on the crowds as the Christ did. Pray for the Good Shepherd to shepherd the hearts of long-time believers as well as those who are just beginning their journey toward Him.
Randall has asked for Acts 3:19-21 to be prayed over him and his ministry. Pray that thousands of Buddhists would repent and turn to God, trusting that He (rather than their perfected actions) will wipe out their sins. Pray for times of refreshing in the hearts of formerly-Buddhist believers. Pray that the Father would restore everything just as He promised long ago.
Thank you for praying with these long-time workers, friend.
Peace.
