Praying for the Bengal Initiative
by David Allen
Bengal Initiative Director
God has led MRN to take the Good News to the hundreds of millions of Asians who have never heard of Jesus. We are focused on the unreached people groups among the Buddhist and Hindu peoples that live in the regions around the large body of ocean known as the Bay of Bengal. The Bengal Initiative was created to train and send workers who will help facilitate disciple-making movements.
As the center of Christianity shifts from the West to the Majority world, MRN seeks to collaborate with the next generation of leaders and mobilize Christian communities to be the hands and feet of Jesus.
Whole people groups who once persecuted Christians are now disenchanted with their old beliefs and are seeking to know more about Jesus. We believe this is not a window of opportunity that will remain open indefinitely; the time to act is now.
Please join us in praying for the following needs:
There are not enough laborers for the more than 2 billion people in this region. Pray for more workers for the harvest.
There are regions that are experiencing social upheaval, and the old traditions and beliefs are now being challenged. This is resulting in new receptivity to the Gospel. Pray that we may find these people who are receptive and ready to hear.
Behind every missionary is a strong network of churches, friends, and family. Pray that God will raise up more individuals and churches in the U.S. who have a passion for the lost and who are willing to be a part of the sending community.
Are you interested in sharing Jesus with unreached people of the world?
We can help!
